L.I.F.E. Skills Mentor Training

Does your heart break for those in need? Come to Mentor Training with Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) and explore how to help people from diverse environments. Training is scheduled for three consecutive Monday evenings, Feb. 27, March 5 & 12, from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Love INC Office in Hamilton. For more information and to sign up for training, please contact Jean at loveincje@frontier.com or 269-751-2533 ex. 107.

The perspective and strength of Love INC is a long-term, relational focus in helping people.  This focus is delivered to the community through our weekly L.I.F.E. (Learning In Finances and Everyday) Skills Program.  L.I.F.E. Skills provides support, learning opportunities and accountability that help people cope, achieve goals and improve their life circumstances.  Participants are engaged in a transformational relationship of care that offers dignity and instills hope.  Services are provided regardless of sex, age, race, religion or living circumstances.  Please view our L.I.F.E. Skills Brochure for more detailed information.

This is a video that gives an overview of the L.I.F.E. Skills Program.
It has a focus on recruiting mentors.  Enjoy!

The Children's Meal Ministry

Picture
The Children's Meal Ministry's purpose is to provide a healthy meal to the children who attend L.I.F.E. Skills Program with their parents on Thursday night.  There are volunteers who prepare the meals at home or onsite at Haven Reformed Church.  They are treated as "grown-ups" by having the table set like it's a restaurant including volunteers who wait on them.  The children are led in prayer prior to eating and each week a leader guides an evening "topic of discussion".  The meal makes it a special night and the kids are really loving it!
