History

Love INC of Northwest Allegan County opened in April of 2000. The vision began three years earlier as God led three women to pray for the community. They sensed a calling to help care for and serve people in need and a vision to network the body of Christ in the community to do so.

Guiding Principles

These principles are intended to provide a solid foundation for building on, and to provide a reference of core values to guide and direct decisions, planning, and actions by LOVE In the Name of Christ.

Love INC is an inter-denominational ministry that holds the following core beliefs of the Christian faith.

Partner Churches

 Love INC is not a ministry in and of itself, but a network of church pantries, programs and volunteers.  Love INC provides an organized, comprehensive structure for the Body of Christ to work together and help people with short-term needs and long-term care.  Churches can connect with Love INC in the following ways: 
  • Prayer Support
  • Follow-up - the opportunity to follow-up with clients who indicate they would like a church contact.
  • Church Prayer Coordinator (CMC) - a church member to regularly attend Love INC Prayer Time to pray for the community and Love INC clients.  Also, communicates prayer needs and praises from and to your church.
  • Ministry Offering - offer current church ministries to the community and/or considerig adopting a new ministry to meet an unmet need in the community.
  • Church Ministry Coordinator - a person in your church to serve as contact for matching client needs and church resources utilizing the talent survey.  Also, assists in communicating Love INC information to your congregation.
  • Financial Support
  • Promotion of the Love INC Partnership
  • Promote Volunteers to help in the Love INC Network
